There is something about a night out at a loud and crowded social venue that can bring out the worst in some people. Perhaps that is what happened at an east GTA\u00a0nightclub recently when a fight broke out between two late night revellers . In the aftermath of the fight, a single person now faces charges for\u00a0violent crimes<\/a>\u00a0after allegedly discharging a gun.<\/p>\n

The incident took place on March 25 at a nightclub\u00a0about 30 minutes east of Toronto. Just before\u00a02 a.m., two men were removed from the Music Hall on King Street East in downtown Oshawa\u00a0after the pair got into a fight inside the club. The altercation moved into the street, at which point it is alleged one of the two men retrieved a gun from his car.<\/p>\n

The man allegedly opened fire, however the bullet, or bullets, did not strike anyone. One person was treated for a head wound, but this was evidently suffered during the fight. Durham Regional Police arrested the suspect, a 20-year-old Toronto man, without further incident. The charges he faces include\u00a0assault causing bodily harm,\u00a0assault with a weapon and several weapons-related charges.<\/p>\n

No doubt, this wasn’t the evening the suspect had in mind when he went out that night. Unfortunately, the past cannot be undone and all that can be done now is to address the present situation.
