Police charge 2 men following brief crime spree in the GTA

People will often say that good things seem to happen in threes. For a pair of Greater Toronto Area men, however, three is not a lucky number. The two men are accused by police of going on a crime spree and committing three robberies in various locations around the west end of Toronto.

According to Toronto Police, the robberies took place between April 18, and April 30. On each occasion, two men wearing balaclavas, one armed with a knife, entered the premises and demanded cash. After placing the money in a bag, the two men would flee the location. The targeted businesses included two convenience stores and one gas station, all located in Etobicoke.

Police arrested the first suspect on May 1. The 22-year-old man faces 12 charges. On May 11, police apprehended a second suspect in connection with the robberies. The 27-year-old man was charged with four counts of robbery with an offensive weapon, as well as 11 other crimes. Additionally, both men were identified as suspects in a series of four robberies committed in Hamilton, and will likely face charges from Hamilton Police, as well.

Facing a spate of charges for more than one crime can seem overwhelming. It is important for the accused to stay calm, however, and make smart decisions. One such decision might be to contact a criminal defence lawyer. A lawyer who has experience defending clients against all manner of charges will use his or her skills to try to bring about the best possible outcome in any given circumstance.
